| "An exceptional experience!" |
Laura Dawson and Alastair Nicoll
In May 2007 myself, my new husband, and our families and friends enjoyed a wonderful wedding and holiday at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori.
From day one we were made to feel very special. The staff were exceptional. They were extremely professional, yet friendly and personable.
The wedding day itself, on May 29th, was fantastic! We were married in the Cloisters of St Francis, then came back to the Hotel with 72 guests for an amazing Italian banquet! The food, wine, flowers, music and service were all first class.
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for our wedding celebration and would like to say a big thank you to Giovanni, the manager, and all his staff for making our wedding day and whole holiday so memorable.
We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone for a similar occasion or simply for an extra special holiday.

"Wedding Reception"
As I relied on tripadvisor to choose my wedding reception venue, I felt I should document my thoughts, in the hope it will help others.
I always like to exceed expectations in whatever I do, so I was a little apprehensive that Giovanni Savarese of the Ambasciatori, could match my high standards. Very quickly within meeting him for the first time, I was very reassured and it was obvious he had very standards.
Confusion & considerations over what the weather had in store for my special day (4th June) could not have been easier. Giovanni, wanted to cover off and agree with us every eventuality prior to the day, in order to accommodate me. All special arrangements I wanted to make, were carried out to the letter.
The Ambasciatori did us proud, however Giovanni made it that extra special
Thank you

" Wonderful Wedding "
We had our wedding at the hotel on April 20th 2007.
We decided on Sorrento for our wedding following an unplanned day trip on a previous visit then organised a short break to visit hotels and potential locations. One of the hotels we short listed was the Ambasciatori, once we got home we then contacted them, their Marketing Manager Tonino was one of the big reasons we settled on this hotel, nothing was too much trouble and they did everything he said they would.
It was an amazing experience, the hotel and it's staff could not have done more to make our day, we had more than thirty guests and none of them can stop talking about the overall experience of Sorrento and the hotel. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
I travel on business all of the time and I have never felt so welcomed in a hotel.
The location, the views across the Bay of Naples, the hotels general ambience, the attentive staff, the weather, I could go on forever.....

" Amazing "
We have just returned from a 2 weeks stay at the Ambasciatori and got married in our second week at the Cloisters in the centre of Sorrento. What can I say as Sorrento and the locations nearby are just so lovely anyway, we had such a fabulous time, the hotel is just gorgeous and has a lovely feel about it. We came to Sorrento the year before to check out the hotels for where we wanted to stay for our wedding and as soon as I walked into the Ambasciatori I knew it was the one. Right on the cliff top with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples, it is just so peaceful and relaxing. The gardens are lovely with chairs and tables dotted around everywhere so you can always find a little spot to sit with your other half and a bottle of wine to watch the beautiful view of the sun setting in the evenings. Although there is a pool, during the day we preferred to go down the lift to the bathing platform and sunbath down there where we also cooled off in the sea. There is also a little cafe / bar to get drinks - the chap the runs it, is so friendly and can't do enough for you.
The food was excellent, my other half likes his food and keeps on raving about it even now that we are back at home. Although we went out some days the lunch menu is also really good. Many of the other guests were regulars to the hotel, mainly English and they were all so friendly, we spoke with many of them. You end up relaxing at the hotel that you may not even feel the desire to leave it, so many nooks and crannies!
We liaised directly with the hotel manager for our wedding reception and found him very helpful and pleasant. Our guests at our wedding all thought the hotel was lovely and loved enjoyed our wedding day. They all have said how gorgeous the food was and how courteous and attentive the staff were. I gave them some table decorations / favours that I had brought over and they did a great job with laying them out the tables looked fantastic, the hotel provided beautiful fresh table flowers. Our wedding cake was amazing, Italian style with almonds and lemons, it tasted gorgeous! Our guests were so impressed! The hotel also arranged our taxi to and from the Cloisters and also a piano man for the evening do when we all went to the bottom of the garden and watched the sun set and danced. It was such a lovely day, we even spotted 2 dolphins in the sea below us which made it even more special. The football ground over the road also let off fireworks in the evening which felt like they were for us as they were so close, which was a perfect ending to a magical day! We definitely will go back, maybe for our 5 year anniversary..!

We just returned from getting married in Sorrento and had our reception at this hotel and it was a dream day, the staff and the manager Giovanni looked after so well right from the day we arrived and made everything about our wedding so easy. An outstanding place to stay 10/10 for everything.
